The Finnish Ontology of Photography VALO
The Finnish Ontology of Photography (VALO) was built by combining the concepts of the Finnish Photography Thesaurus (ca. 1 700), maintained by the Finnish Museum of Photography, with The Finnish General Upper Ontology YSO. The aim is to give detailed and uniform concept descriptions by using the basic structure of The Finnish General Upper Ontology YSO.
VALO ontology is created as a part of the FinnONTO project and was published at the ONKI Ontology Service. The ontology was included in 2014 into the Finto Service, developed and maintained by the National Library of Finland based on ONKI technology.

Valokuvausalan ontologia (VALO)
Valokuvausalan ontologia (VALO) muodostetaan yhdistämällä Suomen valokuvataiteen museon Valokuvan asiasanaston käsitteet (n. 1700) Yleiseen suomalaiseen ontologiaan (YSO). Tavoitteena on ontologian avulla tarkentaa ja yhtenäistää käsitetietoja ja niiden esittämistä hyödyntämällä YSOn perusrakennetta.
VALO-ontologian kehitystyö on osa Suomalaiset semanttisen webin ontologiat -projektia.
